Start-ups / formation of companies
From the first idea to the formation of a company, founders or teams of founders invest a lot of time. A lot of effort and dedication is put into coming up with an idea or a product or starting up a company. This is one of the reasons why founders should think about the appropriate or suitable legal structure for their company early on in the formation process.
This is where my work as your advisor starts.
First of all, we will discuss where you are in your company formation process and what further developments you have envisaged. Are you the sole founder? Or do you wish to put together a team of founders or even have put together a team already? How do you see the scaling options of your business model, and have you already thought about taking on investors?
Based on the answers to these questions, I will provide you with information on your options for choosing the legal form of your company (e.g. German GmbH, GmbH & Co. KG, GbR or oHG) and explain to you the legal and fiscal differences between these entities as well as their advantages and disadvantages.
As a final step, I will draft the necessary formation documents and, where required, will make an appointment with a notary.
Depending on the chosen legal form, the following services are included:
- coordinating the legal name with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce
- articles of association
- notarial deed of formation (incl. accompanying you to the appointment with the notary)
- business registration
- registration in the Transparency Register
